Here at Multihulls World, 2023 has been synonymous with change. And over the past few months, I’ve had the chance to play a more active role in the production of your favorite magazine.
When I joined the team, and for the first year, I was only aware of the contents of an issue once it was finalized and ready for printing, whereas it was up to me to get it on our website. But over the past year, I’ve discovered other facets of creating a new issue of Multihulls World, adding new strings to my bow.
First of all, researching content for the Postcards section has enabled me to make direct contact with you, dear readers: talking to multihull adventurers and discovering your favorite destinations and the key moments of your voyages is always a pleasure... and it’s like a change of scenery!
I now also contribute to the production of the buyers’ guides, gathering information from the shipyards, reworking some texts ahead of publication, and I’m also in charge of part of the proof-reading. I also take part in final editing meetings, which, something new for 2023, can now take place face-to-face, as we have a wonderful new office in Nice in the South of France.
Being involved at different stages of the magazine’s creation has further strengthened my attachment to the Multihulls World project, to our small team and to our readers. If 2023 has brought its share of changes, there’s no doubt that 2024 will be even more enriching and full of projects that we’re all determined to put in place!
Wishing you a very happy new year!
