Following the 35 that we discovered at Miami back in February – which will be on test in a forthcoming issue - her big sister, the HammerCat 45, is already out of the box...
She keeps the same overall lines with narrow hulls at the waterline, a gullwing-shaped nacelle sitting high above the water, and the famous truncated bow. The latter is tilting and integrates a staircase for a direct access to the sea... or onto the sand. The builders are offering several deck plans so that their HammerCat 45 can be used as a fast offshore cruiser, for sports fishing, as a dive boat, etc. As far as the engines are concerned, there’s no messing about: four outboard motors of 527 hp each means that 55 knots is within easy reach... the hull is capable of motoring at 30/35 knots in excellent conditions of comfort with much more reasonable fuel consumption figures than those of a monohull.
