Announced at the Fountaine Pajot press conference on the eve of opening day of the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, the New 80 will mark the shipyard's arrival into the world of multiyachts - a first (even though the overall length is actually 78.7 feet), as the largest model in the catalog up to now has been the Alegria 67 - and of course its motor version, the Power 67.
The demand for this type of boat is ever increasing, as demonstrated by the success of Sunreef. So it’s quite logical that FP, after Lagoon, is taking an interest in multiyachts, especially since, for the moment, it is Alegria or Samana customers expressing a desire to have such a catamaran. This New 80 remains very faithful to the design of the brand’s other models - it has been entrusted to the same naval architects, Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design. There will be several layout versions available: VIP + 4 guest cabins, 6 guest cabins or Maestro, VIP and 2 guest cabins. The New 80 is due to be unveiled at next year’s Cannes Yachting Festival and production will count 3, maybe even 5 examples per year.
