The Scape 42 is getting better!

Following the acquisition of South African yacht-builder Scape, Nova Luxe are preparing a new 44-foot model based on the Scape 42.

Specialist in hybrid motorized catamarans, Nova Luxe have retained the excellent Simonis/Voogd-designed hulls. Their Elite 44 looks like it’s going to be more powerful and even more comfortable: it will be lengthened, a large solar panel will be added, and a complete overhaul of the interior is on the program. As for the build, the hulls will still be made in South Africa, as will the installation of the bulkheads. The finishing and the installation of equipment will be carried out in Florida. The launch of the first Elite 44 is scheduled for the spring of 2022. Note that Scape has the molds for 40 and 51-foot sailing catamarans. These two models will now be marketed under the brand name Nova Luxe Sailing and will of course be equipped with electric propulsion.
