Launched in 2015, the smallest model from Danish builder Quorning Boats has definitely found its public, as the yard has just announced construction of the 100th example.
A great success in the niche market that is the transportable (meaning foldable, of course...) trimaran. The Dragonfly 25 is suitable for coast-hopping as well as for racing (particularly the Sport version with its carbon mast). Comfort levels are obviously limited, with headroom of just 4’10” (1.47 m) at the foot of the companionway and a forepeak bunk offering only 10” (25 cm) of width at the feet end... but it’s all in a good cause: a fine and lightweight central hull and two floats with sharp bows. Under sail, you won't be disappointed: the 39 m²/t sail area to weight ratio ensures a boatspeed of 15 knots in... 15 knots of wind!
