Code C.100

Black Pepper Sees the (Very Big) Future of Catamarans!

Black Pepper is well known for its famous Codes, high-performance, neo-retro-inspired monohulls. Barely two years ago, the builder based in Nantes of France’s west coast announced a new catamaran in the same spirit, the C.69.

Two models are currently in production - the first of which is due to splash soon.

The surprise for the new year is a new, highly ambitious project for an all-carbon multihull over 30 meters (100 feet) long. The design, by Yacht Collective, features very inverted bows that are as aggressive as you could wish for, a coachroof that reveals a very elegant form, and last but not least, a very pronounced bulwark, aft. This Code C.100 will therefore be a direct competitor to the McConaghy - the MC100 in particular - with perhaps a touch more sportiness, given the relatively contained freeboard.
