Following on from the recently launched Galaxy 53, Blue Coast Yachts is developing its multiyacht range with a 100-foot catamaran and two 60 and 100-meter (195 and 330-foot) trimarans.
The BCY 60M has a slender central hull and two smaller floats. Thanks to an all-carbon construction, the weight calculations should be close to 200 tons. This trimaran benefits from a double propulsion solution. In the central hull, two MTU 16V’s of 2,600 hp each, creating a top speed of over 30 knots and transatlantic range at 11 knots. Two electric motors are installed in the floats: they offer autonomy of 6 hours at 9 knots.
