The Balance 526, launched in 2014 (see our test in MW164) - and built in 13 examples, is now available in the guise of a “Mark II”.
In concrete terms, this new model benefits from larger openings in the owner's hull and its bathroom; a nav station whose desk can be transformed into a storage locker on request; additional seating; a new forward beam with integrated bow roller; the removal of the compression post at the entrance to the nacelle thanks to new carbon reinforcing; carbon daggerboards/foils; new rudders made of glass/epoxy; and, finally, newly designed sugarscoops. A version with even more carbon is also available, in the form of the Balance 526 XP.
