ARC 2020

Banzai doesn’t do things by halves...

Admittedly, this year’s Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) represented only a third of the usual entries... Nevertheless, we must salute the beautiful victory by Banzaï, ORC 42 #17, launched in July at the Marsaudon Composites shipyard.

Firstly because this catamaran, far from being the largest in the fleet, arrived first on Thursday December 3rd in real time in all classes, and secondly because her elapsed time - 10 days, 21 hours, 3 minutes and 56 seconds - is the new record for the ARC multihulls class between Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and Rodney Bay (Saint Lucia). Congratulations to Vincent Willemart and his Belgian crew for this remarkable performance!
