The flagship powercat from the Aquila range is about to be launched. Having established themselves in the 32 to 48 - and soon 54 - foot sizes, the Sino-American shipyard are now targeting the superyacht market with their new 70 in the process of being finished.
Entirely designed through CFD (computational fluid dynamics) testing and intended for motorized propulsion, the Aquila 70 is adopting hulls with bulbous bows. The design is optimized for speeds from 12 to 30 knots, but also for greater stability and comfort under way. The owner's cabin, in the forward rostrum, occupies the full width available. Four other cabins are located in the hulls - plus two crew cabins in the forepeaks. As far as equipment is concerned, nothing seems to have been left out. To be tested very soon on the water!
