This all-new model is a careful evolution of the Andaman 50 (still in the catalog) that we tested in MW174 under the colors of Catathai, Gilles Régnier’s former shipyard.
Slightly larger and carrying more canvas, the 52 also boasts a more modern design. But the big story is the new propulsion system combining electric motors, 195 square feet (18m²) of solar panels and a methanol-powered generator. Some of the construction materials used are eco-compatible, such as basalt fiber and PET foam. Optimized and designed with blue water cruising in mind, the 52 benefits from easy-access equipment to guarantee easy technical maintenance. The Andaman 52 can be delivered in Race version with a carbon rig and a wardrobe by Onesail.
