Andaman 44

Built for blue water

This new model was announced by Catathai during the Cannes Yachting Festival. Designed for blue water cruising, this catamaran has similar characteristics to the Andaman 42.

Like the latter, it is light in weight, thanks to the composite construction and is reinforced at the bows with two layers of Kevlar®. Circulation on the deck has been particularly well thought-out, with a mid-height helm station. There’s space to install anywhere between 2 and 12 m² (21 to 129 square feet) of solar panels, giving up to 2,500 Wh of charge. The nacelle features generous side windows, but the overhang of the coachroof creates protection from the most vertical of the sun’s rays. A specific air circulation system has been designed in order not to necessarily resort to air conditioning. The interior is customizable, and you can opt for a drivetrain that’s either an internal combustion setup, or electric.
