Forward Sailing is adapting the concept of the reacher, gennaker or code 0, sails widely used on the big racing cats and trimarans, to 18-foot sport catamarans.
Bigger (23 m²) and flatter than an asymmetric spinnaker, it is made from sturdy cloth, and gives better performance in light weather. It allows you to sail to windward and create your own apparent wind and sail faster than the wind, even in less than 8 knots.
It can be fitted with a furler, or hoisted from a bag on the trampoline.
