The essential and interactive Buyer’s Guide
Your Multihulls World end-of-year issue is traditionally the thickest edition of the year. This one is a “176 + 4”, as we say in printer’s jargon. This means it’s made up of 22 sections of 8 pages each, plus the envelope that makes up the 4 cover pages. One more section than last year, there’s that many more sailing multihulls - we have 150 models from all over the world. Everyone here on the magazine team has worked tirelessly to present you a maximum number of catamarans and trimarans from 20 to 70 feet and of course not to miss out any new models. Not so easy. The exercise is not a simple countdown, as boatbuilders and naval architects are overflowing with activity... Every month, new players are making themselves known on the market. Our fifth Multihull of the Year Election is a perfect example of the vitality of the multihull sector: this year we nominated 32 multihulls in 7 distinct categories. In 2018, there were only 12 models in 4 categories! The 2022 Buyer’s Guide also marks a development in the interactions between our different media. For example, you will easily find all our videos of the multihulls presented in this Buyer’s Guide using the instantly recognizable YouTube logo. With our magazine in paper format, all you have to do is scan the QR code at the bottom of page 50 to access our channel with your smartphone or tablet. If you are reading this magazine in digital format, just click on the video icons. We have also highlighted, among the 500 multihulls we have tested, the models that can be found on a Multihulls World video. We have also made a point of indicating the direct link to our corresponding complete boat test in the presentation text of these videos. And if you click on “SHOW MORE”, you’ll find a description and the specifications of the multihull that interests you. On our website www.multihulls-world.com, a list of tests has been put up, and the videos and technical data sheets are highlighted. More than ever, multihull news is posted in real time, or almost, on our social media and then benefitting the magazine: follow us if you aren’t doing so already!
