Between 40 and 50 feet, multihulls are big enough to envisage offshore cruises up to and including a round the world trip, while remaining easily handled by a family crew. Particularly attractive boats if you envisage leaving to discover distant lagoons bordered by an emerald green sea!
With this 45, Leopard Catamarans has completed a twenty-year cycle, as the very first Leopard built at Robertson & Caine in South Africa was a 45-footer! But a lot of ground has been covered in 20 years, with this brand-new boat which of course picks up all the features of the current range.
On this Leopard 45, designed by Simonis &Voogd Yacht Design, we therefore find once again the now famous and very pleasant forward cockpit, accessible from inside the boat, as well as the bright, modern, comfortable accommodation. Note that the builder has made an extra effort with the details, with refined woodwork and impressive stainless steel finishing.
However this Leopard remains a boat designed for living aboard, and remains faithful to the company’s DNA, through its robustness, and ease of maintenance and use for its crew.
On test very soon in Multihulls World...

After the success of the Open 40 and the Open 46, Bavaria Catamarans is presenting its latest boat, with this Nautitech Open 46 Fly. From the design stage of the Open 46, the builder has worked on two versions, one classic and one equipped with a flybridge, which offers a nice additional living area. The extra weight and windage of the flybridge should hardly affect the performance of this boat, which is very pleasant to sail and particularly appreciated by long-term cruising families.

You will have to visit the International Multihull Boat Show at La Grande Motte in the South of Frnace, in April 2017, to discover the brand new catamaran from Fountaine Pajot, as well as its name. For the moment, as for the Lucia, the boat’s code name is New 47.
In the range, it fits between the Helia 44 and the Saba 50, offering an appealing alternative to sailors looking for a modern, seaworthy boat. The New 47 can be distinguished by its 9.2 m² lounge deck on the bimini, and its hydraulic aft platform, which is both practical and useful at anchor...
