The motor multihull segment continues to grow every year, and the builders never stop offering boats which are even more liveable, even faster, but also more economical with fuel, to meet a demand from owners.
After the new version of the Nautitech Open40 discovered at Cannes, Bavaria Catamarans is continuing to renew its Nautitech range by offering a brand new boat, the very first motor catamaran from Nautitech, the Power 47. This catamaran is fast, with a top speed of 22 knots, but is also capable of a good range, with 1,000 miles at 9 knots. Aboard it’s of course the quality of life which prevails, with the saloon-cockpit area on the same level; the hydraulic platform allows the dinghy to be stowed easily and once at anchor will be an area for enjoying the sea. Finally there is the flybridge and the forward saloon, cozy areas which will delight the guests. See it at Düsseldorf.

Eco Trekker was designed by Kurt Hugues for a couple of kayaking enthusiasts looking for a boat which would allow them to practice their passion… This 38-foot trimaran can be propelled by one or two outboards of up to 15 hp. With this propulsion, the tri will reach a top speed of 12 knots, but above all will have a range of almost 3,000 miles at 5 knots. Exceptional! The designer has even planned the possibility of adding a sport cat rig to increase the range still further. Inside, we find real accommodation, with two double cabins, a galley a saloon and a heads. The perfect ‘raid’ machine to discover the world peacefully!

The Cathugo i54PC is being finished at Krake Catamarans in Germany. The boat’s design is particularly successful, as is the innovative accommodation, with the central circular saloon cleverly separating the steering position from the living areas. The Cathugo is planned to have a top speed of 25 knots, in comfort which the builder says is remarkable, with 4 cabins and 4 heads plus the crew quarters. As for the propulsion, the catamaran is equipped as standard with 2 x 300 hp, but can also be fitted with 2 x 435 hp. The builder’s range also includes a 43 and a 66-footer.

Discovered at the last Multihull Boat Show at La Grande Motte last April, then at the Cannes show, the Solarwave 64 really impressed the visitors. We must mention that this catamaran’s special feature is that it operates with solar energy alone. Yet it offers a full range day and night, with no CO2 emissions. The propulsion, fresh water production, the ...
