Multihulls World n° SP20

100 % green, and (as ever) with a smile!

Exactly a year ago now, we launched the first boating magazine devoted exclusively to clean boating. It was quite a gamble, for sure, but also a logical commitment for our team, who had already been devoting a Forever Green section to each edition since MW178 of July/August 2021. In the first Forever Green special issue, we positioned ourselves as observers. Committed, of course, but in no way wanting to come across as preachy. This approach remains intact in this second Forever Green special issue, which we at Multihulls World are very proud to present to you. Understanding environmental issues, anticipating future regulations, discovering technological innovations, taking stock of what can be done (we’re dealing with such recent events that feedback is still quite rare!), that’s what we want to portray as you read these pages. Numerous boatbuilders as well as equipment manufacturers and suppliers are keen to support us in the approach of sharing data and making progress towards preserving the marine environment. Far from green bashing controversy or harping on about subsidies, our team’s aim is to inform, provoke reflection and, of course, constructive debate. In the space of just one year, the landscape of the marine industry has already evolved considerably in terms of environmental protection considerations. If we’ve had something to do with that, well then it’s the best reward we can get!

Fair winds to all!
